The blankets have various sensory items such as buttons\, zippers\, pockets\, etc. attached to them that provide a soothing effect that can help calm patients experiencing agitation or boredom. While we learn how to make fidget blankets for Big Bend Hospice patients\, we’ll discuss the many ways BBH Volunteers help make a difference in the community. Volunteers need only basic sewing skills\, such as sewing on a button.
