Admissions Specialist, RN – FT

Supervisor: K. Fenior

The Hospice RN (Registered Nurse) for Admissions performs pre-admission evaluations to determine appropriateness for hospice services. Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients and families of hospice and its services. Must have an active Florida RN License, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. This position will work full-time hours which may include weekends and/or holidays. 

Junior Accountant – FT

Supervisor: N. Bell

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring financial records are maintained in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles. This requires the ability to properly compile documentation to support journal entries, perform accounts reconciliation, recording cash receipts, assisting fellow team members with asset control, accounts payable, and internal and external reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields or equivalent work experience. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel. Excellent team player who works well in a collaborative environment. Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is a plus.

Music Therapist – FT – Care and Comfort Team

Supervisor: S. Droessler

This Board-Certified Music Therapist will provide care to patients in ALFs, nursing homes, and other facilities in Leon County. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and documenting music therapy interventions with hospice patients from a variety of age groups and their family members, working as part of an interdisciplinary team, and collaborating with other music therapy staff. Occasional evening or weekend hours for community events and bereavement groups as assigned. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance are required. MT-BC (Music therapist board certified) certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) or current eligibility for the exam with subsequent successful completion required. Strong musical skills, clinical understanding, hospice experience, and experience with electronic medical record system documentation preferred in a collaborative environment. Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is a plus.

Hospice Aide – Float – FT

Supervisor: K. Elmore

Hospice Aide needed for a full-time position to provide care to our patients in the BBH service area. Must have current Florida CNA License. Minimum of 3 years CNA experience preferably in Home Health or Hospice.

Nurse Practictioner (APRN) – FT

Supervisor: N. Suchak

This is a full-time nurse practitioner (NP) position. The NP will work in collaboration with the Hospice Physician and Hospice interdisciplinary team (IDT) to provide hospice services to patients and families in an inpatient, home, or facility setting. Responsibilities include: maintain a regular schedule of clinical participation for BBH Service area and share call schedule with other medical providers to provide 24-hour, 7-day/week coverage for BBH patients; perform face-to-face visits as part of the (re)certification process and help develop and implement plans of care; assist in developing management plans for pain and other symptoms; perform required documentation and provide education to patient/families. Performs other duties as requested by the Medical Director and/or CEO. Stays abreast of all state and federal regulations/statues and licensure requirements. Must have current APRN License and a Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. BLS also required and 1 year of APRN experience preferred. Previous Hospice experience is also preferred.

RN – Hospice House – FT Nights

Supervisor: T. Dooley

This position will work primarily nights, (3) 12 hour shifts for the Hospice House including weekends and holidays. Must have current Florida RN License and a minimum of 3 years RN/LPN experience preferably in Home Health or Hospice.

Referral Specialist – FT

Supervisor: T. Christian-Griffin

This is a full-time position that will work rotating weekends and holidays. Experience with medical supplies, records, and terminology is preferred. Responsible for referral calls concerning hospice care and process requests for information and visits by Admission Specialists. Must be highly organized with excellent communication skills with 3-5 years administrative experience in healthcare environment including insurance verification and/or medical billing.

Spiritual Care CounselorFT   

Supervisor: K. Snow

This position is responsible for providing interfaith spiritual counseling and emotional and spiritual support to hospice patients facing a life-limiting illness, as well as their families/caregivers, that follow established patient plans of care, providing goals and interventions that assist the patient to find peace and meaning. Qualifications: Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited college, endorsement of a faith tradition or ordination (seminary graduate), and minimum of one (1) Clinical Pastoral Education unit within a health care setting. (4 units preferred)

RN Team Manager FTDaysWakulla/Franklin

Supervisor: K. Elmore

This is a full-time RN position that will manage clinical resources for the Wakulla/Franklin interdisciplinary team and determine the daily utilization of staff. Enhances clinical practice of the team by performing as a role model, mentor, instructor, and resource person. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience and at least two (2) years of nursing experience preferably in hospice or home health. In-patient nursing experience preferred.
