Volunteers

The mission of our trained Volunteers is to provide comfort and compassion to terminally ill patients and their caregivers in the patients’ homes or in care facilities. Volunteers offer companionship, relief time for caregivers, help with errands, transportation to appointments or a vigil presence for dying patients. Volunteers aid in organizational support, such as administration and special events. Our community volunteers are essential partners in the compassionate care of Big Bend Hospice.

We like to say, “Volunteers do not have more time; they have more heart.”
