RN BBH Coastal W/F- FT

Supervisor: Sandra Showers

RN needed for a full-time position. This position will provide care for patients in Wakulla and Franklin counties. Must have current Florida RN license. BSN preferred. Minimum of three years nursing experience preferably in Hospice or Home Health. 


RN – Big Bend Hospice Gadsden and Liberty Team

Supervisor: Sandra Showers

RN needed for a full-time position.  This position will provide care for patients in Gadsden and Liberty counties. Must have a current Florida RN license.  BSN preferred.  Minimum of three years nursing experience preferably in Hospice or Home Health.


Admissions Specialist, RN – FT

Supervisor: Kimberly Fenior

The Hospice RN (Registered Nurse) for Admissions performs pre-admission evaluations to determine appropriateness for hospice services. Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patient and family of hospice and its services. Must have an active Florida RN License, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. This position will work full-time hours which may include weekends and/or holidays.


Cook, HH – PRN

Supervisor: Tessa Dooley

This position will work weekdays and weekends on a rotating schedule 6-8 hours each day, for a total of 25 hrs./week. Prepare tasteful meals that are consistent with the patient’s plan of care and nutritional needs for up to 12 patients per day. A High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of experience cooking in a commercial and/or health care facility. This position will be required to successfully complete the Food Services Manager Certification during probationary period


Referral Specialist – FT

Supervisor: Tracey Christian-Griffin

This is a full-time position that will work rotating weekends and holidays. Experience with medical supplies, records, and terminology is preferred. Responsible for referral calls concerning hospice care and process requests for information and visits by Admissions Specialist. Must be highly organized with excellent communication skills with 3-5 years administrative experience in a healthcare environment including insurance verification and/or medical billing. 


RN– FT Hospice House – Night

Supervisor: Tessa Dooley

This position will work primarily nights, (3) 12 hour shifts for the Hospice House including weekends and holidays. Must have current Florida RN License and a minimum of 3 years RN/LPN experience preferably in-Home Health or Hospice 


RN Training and Development Clinical Educator

Supervisor: Susie Prescott

The RN clinical educator works collaboratively with individuals and groups, acting as a resource and utilizing creative teaching methods, to meet the educational needs of the organization. The role includes developing, evaluating, and timely updating of educational programs and plans to include orientation, preceptorships, individual tutorials, skills practice sessions, certification review courses, the electronic medical record, and specific identified educational needs. The RN clinical educator cross-trains with other training and development staff, including the manager, to be able to perform all duties as needed.  Great communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and the ability to provide effective individual and group training is a must.   Moderate technological competence is necessary.  An active Florida RN license, valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.  Hospice experience, clinical nurse educator certification, nursing educator masters , and/or CHPN preferred.  


RN-FT Float

Supervisor: Kathy Elmore

Full-Time RN needed for float position. Will provide RN support wherever needed within our 8-county service area. Must have a current Florida RN license. BSN preferred. Minimum of three years nursing experience preferably in Hospice or Home Health


Triage RN- PRN

Supervisor: Marilyn Ramos

This position will work in the Triage Department from 4:30 pm to 9:30 weeknights, weekends, and holidays 8:00 am to 4 pm. Must have a current Florida RN license. BSN preferred. Minimum of 3 years nursing experience preferably in Hospice or Home Health. In-patient nursing experience preferred.


Volunteer Coordinator, Leon – FT

Supervisor: Katie Mandell

The Volunteer Coordinator recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the mission of Big Bend Hospice. They are responsible for monitoring volunteer assignments, evaluating performances, providing ongoing training, and assisting in creating volunteer recognition opportunities. The Volunteer Coordinator serves as a liaison between volunteers, staff, and the community at large, assisting in community relations as it pertains to the assigned territory. They also serve as a patient-family advocate to find how volunteers can help increase the patient’s quality of life. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, or consummate experience in volunteer coordination preferred. A valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.
