These groups are open to friends and family members whose loved ones were cared for by Big Bend Hospice, as well as community members who have experienced the death of someone special. Individuals with complicated grief or very recent losses are asked to speak with a grief counselor before registering to ensure group counseling is appropriate.
Participants can expect a safe and welcoming space to share thoughts and feelings without judgment, opportunities to gain insight into grief and helpful coping tips, and meaningful connections with others who are also grieving. Groups provide support and education, and each participant receives a free grief support booklet with coping tips and helpful information.
These events are free of charge and open to the community.
