Big Bend Hospice is pleased to announce Toney Vicars as its new Chief Financial Officer.
In this role, Vicars will oversee the organization’s financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and long-term sustainability efforts. He will work closely with Big Bend Hospice’s leadership team, board members, and staff to strengthen the financial foundation that supports the organization’s mission of providing compassionate care to patients and families throughout the region.
Vicars brings significant experience in healthcare finance and operations, with leadership roles across long-term care, assisted living, rural hospitals, clinics, and multi-facility healthcare organizations. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Trillium Healthcare Group, where he provided financial oversight for 16 long-term care and assisted living facilities across multiple states. He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Empower HIM, directing finance and revenue cycle operations for 32 rural hospitals and clinics.

Founded in 1983, Big Bend Hospice has served the community for more than 40 years, providing end-of-life care and support to individuals and families across North Florida. Vicars’ background in financial stewardship, healthcare operations, and mission-centered service will help support the organization’s continued strength and ability to meet the needs of the community.
