Children’s Night
BBH Jean McCully Family House - Family Room 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, Florida, United StatesIs your child in need of a safe and supportive space to talk about the death of someone special? As part of our Community Bereavement Care, Big Bend Hospice offers a monthly support group, at no cost, for children ages 6-12. The loss does not need to be recent for a child to benefit from participating. Event Details: Date: Fourth Tuesday of the Month Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm Location: This group will meet in the Family Room at the Jean McCully Family House, located behind the Elaine C. Bartelt Administration Center This group provides a safe space for children to share their feelings, ask questions, and learn healthy ways to cope with grief. Camp Woe-Be-Gone: A Grief Odyssey
Challenger Learning Center 200 S Duval St, Tallahahassee, FL, United StatesBig Bend Hospice and the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee invite youth ages 6-12 that have experienced the death of a loved one to join us for Grief Odyssey. This fun, one-day camp will help children learn about the grief process and explore safe ways to turn "scars into stars." This event is available at no cost, but donations are appreciated. New campers will be given priority, but returning campers are welcome if space is available. Space is limited, registration is required.
