New Rules for End of Life Care

February 23, 2023 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Flyer for New Rules for End of Life Care with older man looking thoughfully at ipad while sitting on a park bench.

Caring for someone as they approach the end of their life is not the same as caring for someone who is going to get better. Unfortunately, most people don’t know this. Often the natural processes that occur during the last stages of dying are not fully understood by caregivers and families. This award-winning documentary from Barbara Karnes, RN, end-of-life educator, and hospice pioneer, & panel discussion with Big Bend Hospice experts will address changes in the dying person as they pertain to eating, sleeping, and managing pain. Knowledge can reduce the fear and anxieties surrounding the dying process and helps with grieving. Whether the person is at home, at a nursing home, or in a hospital, this presentation will give you valuable information to understand and care for your loved one in this “final stage of living.”

Join us for an award-winning documentary from Barbara Karnes, RN, end-of-life educator, and hospice pioneer, & panel discussion with Big Bend Hospice experts!
