In 2021, BBH created a Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DIE) department with the goal of bringing staff and volunteers together to incorporate and celebrate our differences. In the past year, our DEI department has provided enriching opportunities for staff to develop a keen understanding and awareness of the cultures represented around the world and in our backyard that bring perspective, recognition, education, and balance.

We recently took a field trip to the Meek-Eaton Black Archives Research Center & Museum at Florida A&M University. BBH CEO Bill Wertman says, “It can be challenging and heartbreaking to see the truth, reality, and a brutally honest review of what our world was once like and how far we have yet to go.”

As an organization, we continue to rise by doing our part to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion can flourish here and that we continue to strive for organizational representation that looks like the whole of the communities we serve.
