Big Bend Hospice is excited to share that we have officially broken ground on our new Jefferson County office at 615 N. Jefferson St. The foundation has been laid, and should be completed in May 2024, replacing our current Walnut Street location.
This facility will serve as a permanent hub for our dedicated team caring for Jefferson County residents. It will serve as both a centralized resource center for end-of-life care and other services provided by Big Bend Hospice for the community, as well as help the Jefferson team coordinate care patient care visits.
Conceived in 2015 as a permanent Big Bend Hospice presence in Jefferson County, has project has been overseen by the Jefferson County Advisory Council of Big Bend Hospice. This incredible group of Jefferson County residents has diligently worked to ensure better access to hospice resources for residents.
Although the Council is on the verge of achieving its fundraising goal, Christie Newell, Chair of the Jefferson County Advisory Council, emphasizes that there is still work to be done.
