Spiritual Care

At Big Bend Hospice, we take a holistic approach to care, nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of our patients. We recognize that spirituality is deeply personal and means different things to each person.

Spiritual Care Counselors

We focus on what matters most to you, meeting you wherever you are on your journey. Our care honors all belief and faith systems, ensuring that everyone feels respected and supported. Regardless of your spiritual or religious beliefs, your spiritual counselor is here to listen to your stories and offer a space of unconditional acceptance. Our Spiritual Care Counselors are experienced, clinically trained, and ready to walk with you through this process.

Goals of Spiritual Care

  • Offer compassionate support and guidance throughout the end-of-life journey.

  • Create opportunities for healing, reflection, and forgiveness.

  • Stand beside you and your family, providing comfort and encouragement every step of the way.

  • Help bring clarity, hope, and meaning during this profound stage of life.

Spiritual Care for All Traditions

Big Bend Hospice is committed to honoring the spiritual and cultural needs of all patients and families. As a National Institute for Jewish Hospice (NIJH)–accredited hospice, we provide specialized support and resources for Jewish patients and their loved ones. Our chaplains are trained to offer compassionate, faith-sensitive care that respects Jewish traditions, rituals, and end-of-life needs.
