Virtual Support Session: Grief Tips for the Newly Bereaved

Experiencing the loss of a loved one can feel overwhelming and isolating. In this no-cost virtual presentation, we invite any adult seeking support to join us as we explore the basics of grief, share practical tips for coping, and provide resources to help navigate this challenging time. Led by Pam Mezzina, LCSW, this session is designed to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can better understand the grief process and learn tips for coping. Whether you're newly bereaved or support someone who is, we're here to provide guidance and encouragement. Participants are welcome to share questions and feedback in the chat throughout the session. Is your child in need of a safe and supportive space to talk about the death of someone special? As part of our Community Bereavement Care, Big Bend Hospice offers a monthly support group, at no cost, for children ages 6-12. The loss does not need to be recent for a child to benefit from participating.  Event Details:  Date: Fourth Tuesday of the Month Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm Location: This group will meet in the Family Room at the Jean McCully Family House, located behind the Elaine C. Camp Woe-Be-Gone: A Grief Odyssey

Challenger Learning Center 200 S Duval St, Tallahahassee, FL, United States

Big Bend Hospice and the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee invite youth ages 6-12 that have experienced the death of a loved one to join us for Grief Odyssey. This fun, one-day camp will help children learn about the grief process and explore safe ways to turn "scars into stars." Light breakfast, lunch, and t-shirts will be provided.
