Join us for a fun afternoon of sewing and learning about Volunteer opportunities with BBH! July 27, 2022 | 10:00am - 12:00 noon The Crawfordville Library 4330 Crawfordville Highway, Crawfordville, FL 32327 We will be teaching our guests how to make Fidget Blankets for those living with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other related disorders. The blankets have various sensory items such as buttons, zippers, pockets, etc. attached to them that provide a soothing effect that can help calm patients experiencing agitation or boredom. While we learn how to make fidget blankets for Big Bend Hospice patients, we’ll discuss the many ways BBH Volunteers help make a difference in the community. Volunteers need only basic sewing skills, such as sewing on a button. All supplies will be provided, as well as snacks and drinks.
